Tommy’s first ever flying lesson
Today is going to be a Tommy’s big day! He is going to learn to fly a plane. The plane he will be having his first ever pilot experience is in a PA 28 Piper Cherokee warrior. Supposedly, it’s one of the best planes to learn how to fly in, next to a Cessna plane.
His pilot and flight instructor of the day is young Jak Bucknall. Jak already went through all the training to become from a zero to a hero. And now it’s Tommy’s turn.

About the plane
The Piper PA-28 Cherokee is a family of light aircraft designed for flight training, air taxi and personal use, built by Piper Aircraft. All members of the PA-28 family are all-metal, unpressurized, four-seat, single-engine piston-powered airplanes with low-mounted wings and tricycle landing gear. All PA-28 aircraft have a single door on the co-pilot side, which is entered by stepping on the wing. The first PA-28 received its type certificate from the FAA in 1960 and the series remains in production in 2009. Current models are the Arrow and Warrior III. The Archer was discontinued in 2009, but with investment from new Piper owners Imprimis, will be revived in 2010.

Flying a plane: incredibly easy…or not?
Tommy looks all buff and mean, but when Jak tells him he’s in control, you see Tommy’s pupils widen. You can do a lot with an airplane like this. As you see in the video, Tommy even switched the engine off. Have a look yourself and maybe you want to learn how to fly your own plane too.
