Malin Akerman: from Supermodel to Superwoman
Malin Akerman (1978) was born in Sweden but after two years her parents moved to Toronto, Canada where she was raised. At the age of seventeen she won the Ford Supermodel of Canada search. After a career in modeling she turned to acting and now resides in California. Next to acting Malin Akerman is also the lead singer of a rock band named Ozono, who later changed their name to The Petalstones. In her band The Pedal Stones Malin Akerman also met drummer Roberto Zincone which she married on June 20, 2007.

In 2000 Malin Akerman made her film debut with a small role in The Skulls. After that she appeared in several TV episodes. Finally in 2003 she got a real role in the indeopendent film “The Utopian Society”. This led to other roles in films such as Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, The Heartbreak Kid (2007) and 27 Dresses. Fans of Malin Akerman who would like to see her in a more recent film should go and see the film adaptation of Watchmen.
